Experts believe that most, if not all, people have encountered sleep problems that are worse than nightmares or bad dreams. This scenario includes feeling a sense of terror that leaves the person numb with the heart pounding at fast speeds.
This is a scenario where a person can’t move a muscle and that he is struggling for breath because something is pressed heavily against the chest.
This phenomenon is termed Sleep Paralysis or a more technical term would be hypnagogic sleep paralysis.
It is one of the common experiences doctors around the globe believe to happen to a person at least once in a lifetime. However, there are several individuals who experience repeated incidents in a week.
This phenomenon usually happens during the REM period of sleep where the brain becomes active and the dreamer starts experiencing vivid dreams.
Irregular sleeping schedules contribute to this kind of situation that’s why experts suggest sleep for at least six to eight hours a day.

myoclonic jer
A popular psychologist revealed that it is perfectly normal when sometimes your whole body suddenly jerks awake before falling asleep.
According to Dr. Joan Woodworth, the said phenomena is called “myoclonic jerk.” She explained that our muscles sometimes relax faster even before the oxygen can gain access to them.
Woodworth has been touring the U.S. for the past years to explain in detail her studies on sleep and dreams. She came up with 5 types of sleep: Stage 1, 2, 3, 4 and REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep.
It is on the fifth stage or REM sleep that most of our dreams occur, according to Dr. Woodworth. In fact, when we wake up a person who’s currently on the REM stage, that person will likely recall the dream.
Dr. Woodworth added that the fifth stage of sleep usually takes place 2 hours during our sleep and the body goes to a sleep paralysis in order for us not to act out the dream. In some cases, people go to another stage where they can sleep-talk or sleep-walk.
She added that all of us do amazing things in our sleep but we are not in an articulated state.

Dreams Interpretation,
dreams
Dreams have several meaning. It can mean the images that we see during the sub-conscious state while we are sleeping, it can mean fantasy or the wish that we really want. Though they might have different meanings but all off them are related to one thing and that is images. It can be through our mind, eyes or our heart.
When we are awake the conscious mind are often active but when we sleep the sub conscious will take over. Often it is believe that dreams are based on the unconscious activity in response to the experience that we encounter when we are awake. Every single thought can result in a dream. You can’t direct the dream here and it can take you anywhere without you controlling.
Sometimes we dream when we are awake but here we can control our dreams. Often this is called fantasy. Here you dream what you really can’t do in reality. You decide what you want to dream and plan out the whole thing according to your wish.
It also means the wishes that you really want. Often people associate dreams with those wishes. When they say ‘they dream of doing something’, it means they really want to do that thing.
