Dream analysis may also be good for physical health – experts

There are several aspects of our dreams that could tell us something about our physical health, and what should we do in order to maintain a healthy body and mind. According to dream experts, there are dreams such as walking down a staircase that is seemed rickety or cars without breaks which could refer to how we are living right now.

Since this is still not recognized by Western medicine. The best advice given by dream experts is to follow your instincts. Whenever you feel that your dream has significance when it comes to your health then it would be best to refer to a medical specialist to conduct physical checkups.

The cue on this is that when you are conducting dream analysis when you wake up and feel something weird, then it is a sign that something must be done. It wouldn’t hurt to consult a doctor right away.

New dream research shows new links to Psychiatry

A dream research conducted by the European Science Foundation (ESF) revealed that there are similarities noted in the brain activity during psychosis and lucid dreaming which only strengthened the link between Psychiatry and dreams.

Lucid dreaming means that the person is aware that he is dreaming. Having such, according to the researchers, shows distinct electrical activity patterns in the brain. They noted that the patterns have similarities with psychotic conditions (like schizophrenia). Making this discovery is a big step in determining new ways of diagnosing neurological disorders.

Ursula Voss, a researcher from Germany’s University of Frankfurt, said that the brain is in a dissociated state during lucid dreaming. Having this dissociation means losing that conscious control over the mental processes (emotional reaction or logical thinking).

Some experts are now reconsidering the revival of dream therapy which was widely discredited in the past. In the past, people having nightmares are usually treated by having them trained to dream lucidly in order for them to wake up consciously.

Dream researcher and psychiatrist Allan Hobson said that a lot of dreams can play a role in the learning process and may not be threatening at all. It’s all about determining these factors before doing any treatment.

Finding out what bizarre dreams mean

We try out best in finding out what dreams mean especially when we have encountered a seemingly bizarre dream the night before and trying to comprehend if it has significance in our daily lives. Where you dream of going to work in just your knickers and bra, or being chased by a man without a face. There is always a reason behind it.

A person shared one of her most bizarre dreams online where she was driving a car at a certain perfect day when the weather suddenly changed and a tornado came towards to her direction. As the dreamer frantically called her loved ones over the phone for help, she felt her car being carried by the tornado. She felt like she was flying and then the next thing she knew, she landed quite safely on the ground and the tornado was gone and she has woken up.

A dream expert shared that when we dream, the images that we see are always about ourselves and not the others. The expert said that the car represents the dreamer and the weather represents a sudden change in circumstances. There may be a conflict along the way but the safe landing means that everything will turn out to be fine once that certain “storm” has passed. Finding out what dreams mean could be a good thing but it doesn’t have to be done in every dream, the expert stressed.

Dream analysis could lead to goal setting

We’ve all encountered dreams, may it be nice or bad, eventually we resort to dream analysis and determine the significance of such in our daily lives.

However, once the dream analysis is made, only a few people do something about it. There’s something missing in the cycle – and that is action.

In order to make significant changes on your life, it’s time to set goals. Dreams can be ignored if that’s what you want but as experts have shared, there’s always a meaning on each of our dreams even if the images are seemingly remote or unusual.

According to dream experts, goals may not necessarily be something that is hard to attain. It’s all about taking one step at a time. Sometimes we focus so much on reaching that goal that we forgot what we are doing, that’s where we get stuck in our lives.

That certain stage could have several consequences such as conflicts with relatives and loved ones. That’s the time when you encounter images in your dreams that you have never encountered before. You can do your own dream analysis and see if it can be applied in your life goals. Good luck!

Author shares analysis on dreams

An American author is scheduled to give her analysis on dreams in a workshop that takes place this week at the Lake Tahoe Wellness Center in California. The author is Kari Hohne, the person behind “The Mythology of Sleep: The Waking Power of Dreams” and “The Mind’s Mirror: Dream Dictionary and Translation Guide.” She also has a website titled Way of Dreams.

In an interview with local media, Hohne said that all dreams have a certain pattern which could be about resolution and conflict in our daily lives. Usually, the first part of the dream symbolizes the latest conflict and a change in landscape at the middle part informs the dream where the conflict started.

The last part usually is something that gives a clue on what to do. However, Hohne said that this is the part that’s usually ignored by the dreamer as the usual case is not remembering the dream the next day.

According to Hohne, one of the common dreams would be someone who’s not driving or a vehicle. This means that the person is actually not taking control of his or her life right now while taking a flight would mean aspiring to move forward with life or to “breakaway.”
