Tips on retaining memory of dreams
Author: Willow // Category: Dreams Interpretation, Remembering Dreams, dream analyses, dreamsAs the experts have stated it, dreams that are explained could help the dreamer solve his or her problems in life. In fact, these dreams are personal to the dreamer that the interpretations could be different and acting out on the solutions could make significant life changes. However, it is common for dreamers to forget the images they dreamt last night as soon as they wake up.
Here are some tips on retaining the memory of dreams:
• Remember: Short-term memory usually occurs on images seen on dreams. Experts say that is best to take a bit of time closing the eyes and make a mental picture of the images seen in the dream the night before.
• Write: Immediately write down on a pad placed near the bed those images dreamt. Be more specific in writing the descriptions by going beyond single words.
• Review: Check out if the terms written down matches the ones dreamt the night before.

I find that I can usually remember the last few dreams of the night if I write them down AS SOON AS I wake up, but then I often lose the ones that occurred earlier in the night. If I wake up during the night sometimes I’ll go over my dreams in my head then and there and will then often remember those earlier dreams in the morning, but it’s so frustrating when I KNOW I had a really cool/odd/disturbing dream but just can’t pull it up again. Good advice on remembering, btw!
