School of Metaphysics Director and Dream researcher Dr. Daniel Condron said that recurring dreams are just one of the types of dreams that we encounter everyday. He believes that dreams represent a message or question. This is usually related to a person’s fear, doubt, habit and many more.
The dream expert said that once the dreamer has an understanding as to what he or she is dreaming about, there’s a big chance that the resolution will be enacted.
The thing about dreams, he says, is that the dreamer and the interpreter can be both right or wrong with the perception behind the images seen during sleep. No one can really be sure if the meaning is right. Even experts are honest enough to admit that there are no exact interpretations in our dreams because we are unique in every way. The best bet is that there’s always a common denominator which we can work on as we try to find the resolutions behind our recurring dreams.
He also believes that although it is hard to influence dreams you can make sure you have comfortable nightwear and a comfortable bed to sleep in.

Experts believe that most, if not all, people have encountered sleep problems that are worse than nightmares or bad dreams. This scenario includes feeling a sense of terror that leaves the person numb with the heart pounding at fast speeds.
This is a scenario where a person can’t move a muscle and that he is struggling for breath because something is pressed heavily against the chest.
This phenomenon is termed Sleep Paralysis or a more technical term would be hypnagogic sleep paralysis.
It is one of the common experiences doctors around the globe believe to happen to a person at least once in a lifetime. However, there are several individuals who experience repeated incidents in a week.
This phenomenon usually happens during the REM period of sleep where the brain becomes active and the dreamer starts experiencing vivid dreams.
Irregular sleeping schedules contribute to this kind of situation that’s why experts suggest sleep for at least six to eight hours a day.

A recent study revealed that acting out our dreams is a common scenario. This is said to be normal because we always strive to find out the meaning behind dreams that if we have come out with our interpretation, chances are we will act it out especially if the outcome is positive.
More than a thousand participants took part in the study and about 98 percent of the respondents said that they do enact their dreams. Aside from the scenario above, waking up from a dream and acting out what was just dream is also normal.
Some of the actions made is clenching a fish, kicking, punching, feeling aroused, crying and even feeling fear.
The study, published in the journal Sleep, revealed that women are more likely to cry, laugh, smile or speak after a dream while men tend to feel sexual arousal.

Since this is still not recognized by Western medicine. The best advice given by dream experts is to follow your instincts. Whenever you feel that your dream has significance when it comes to your health then it would be best to refer to a medical specialist to conduct physical checkups.
The cue on this is that when you are conducting dream analysis when you wake up and feel something weird, then it is a sign that something must be done. It wouldn’t hurt to consult a doctor right away.

Doctors said that it is normal for children to encounter scary dreams since these are common during childhood. However, it should also be kept in mind that as parents, it is important to exert efforts in helping the kids overcome these dreams in order to sleep well.
Here are some useful tips shared by experts:
• Assurance: When your child wakes up from a nightmare, talk about the matter briefly and give assurance that everything’s all right.
• Rewrite: Assist your child in making a happy ending in the dream. If the child goes back to sleep, he or she will have a positive mindset that he or she could overcome the nightmare.
• Don’t trivialize. Treat your child’s dreams seriously. You can share some of your childhood dreams and tell your kid how you managed to overcome them. This pretty much assures the kid that he’s not the only one experiencing this.

dream research
A dream research conducted by the European Science Foundation (ESF) revealed that there are similarities noted in the brain activity during psychosis and lucid dreaming which only strengthened the link between Psychiatry and dreams.
Lucid dreaming means that the person is aware that he is dreaming. Having such, according to the researchers, shows distinct electrical activity patterns in the brain. They noted that the patterns have similarities with psychotic conditions (like schizophrenia). Making this discovery is a big step in determining new ways of diagnosing neurological disorders.
Ursula Voss, a researcher from Germany’s University of Frankfurt, said that the brain is in a dissociated state during lucid dreaming. Having this dissociation means losing that conscious control over the mental processes (emotional reaction or logical thinking).
Some experts are now reconsidering the revival of dream therapy which was widely discredited in the past. In the past, people having nightmares are usually treated by having them trained to dream lucidly in order for them to wake up consciously.
Dream researcher and psychiatrist Allan Hobson said that a lot of dreams can play a role in the learning process and may not be threatening at all. It’s all about determining these factors before doing any treatment.

There’re several hypotheses regarding functions of dreams. They include the following:
At the time of night, there might be several external stimuli going on with bombarding senses. However, mind interprets stimulus, along with making it a portion of dream for ensuring continued sleep. However, the mind would awaken the individual if it’s trained for responding to specific sounds or in danger. For instance- crying of a baby. Dreams permit mind’s repressed parts for being satisfied via fantasy along with having kept conscious mind away from thoughts which would, all of a sudden, cause a person to wake up from shock.
Freud had suggested that poor dreams cause brain of learning to have control gained over emotions that result from the distressing experiences. Jung gave the suggestion that the dreams might go on with the compensation for the one-sided attitudes that get held at the time of waking consciousness. Dreams are, in fact, like computers’ cleaning-up operations when they happen to be off-line, thereby causing removal of parasitic nodes as well as the other ‘junk’ from mind at the time of sleep. Dreams contribute to the creation of new ideas through generation of ‘Random Thought Mutations’. Some amongst these might get rejected (by mind) as being useless, whereas the others might be viewed as being valuable.

When you sleep, and drift into your unconsciousness, you do not always realize it, however, each night; you let your unconscious spirit dance and weave stories around you. This is done in the form of a dream. Dreams are the thoughts, innermost desires, feelings, emotions that we experience when we slip into our unconscious every night while sleeping.
When you finally recall some images, you might recoil in fright, or have a happy feeling in your heart. Dreams are studied extensively to prove their significance in our waking state. Dreams are unresolved feelings and the innermost desires finding an outlet, when we sleep. Our desires of the present are let out through dreams, which we cannot otherwise express freely due to certain sociological pressures.
Dreams have continued to mystify, and intrigue every single person on this earth. Dreams Analysis is an important topic to study, as dreams represent who we really are. They go back to the core of our existence, when man used to dream in order to plan his activities for the next day. Dreams have a huge hidden meaning, and dream symbologists are trying and attempting to attain the hardcore analysis of this surreal reality.
