If you are pregnant and wondering why you are getting a lot of weird dreams lately, don’t fret. It is perfectly normal.
According to an article in the website called PregnancyInfo, the reason that mothers-to-be experience having crazy or unusual dreams is due to the combination of sleep styles, anxiety and hormones. Basically, hormones that go through a pregnant woman’s body could cause longer periods of rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. This is a period where a person experiences dreams.
Pregnant women usually experiences backaches or leg cramps when they wake up from a deep sleep. Another characteristic would be for women to successfully recall the dream they had last night.
Anxieties also play a role in this unusual phenomenon. This can be attributed to pregnant women worry about their roles as mothers in the future.
Another website, Baby Zone, has been providing meanings of dreams especially to pregnant women. If the dreams deal on animals, then the site stated that it could represent a good relationship between the woman’s instinct and self which means that whatever the decisions that might be made in the coming days or weeks, it will eventually pay off. To help expecting mothers with their sleep good comfortable women’s nightwear is essential.

Dreams Interpretation
Having sexual dreams is not something to be afraid of. In fact, this should be considered normal especially if we are at the age of maturity. For male teenagers, they usually experience their first wet dream and for female teens, an orgasm may be experienced after a fantastic dream.
Experts have said that the sexual dreams have meanings because they usually send messages based on our daily lives. It may be because we’ve felt repressed lately that we need that certain release.
Here are some common sexual dreams and their meanings:
• With a famous person: Having a sexual encounter with someone famous means that you have that particular desire in life that you need to achieve.
• With a former lover: Unresolved issues may have brewed between you and your older flame. It could only simply mean that you miss him or her and that moving on to another relationship may still be hard.
• With a person of the same sex: This doesn’t necessarily mean that you already have homosexual tendencies. This is more on the curiosity on something that is beyond, something that you’ve never done before.

• With an unlikely person: This could be a random dream but doesn’t necessarily mean that you secretly liked that person.

Constant stress and depression can affect sleep cycles of individuals which lead to long term conditions such as insomnia. If there are several incidents where you wake up at night and find it difficult to fall back to sleep again then there’s a big possibility that you are suffering from this sleep condition.
Experts have classified insomnia into four types: Psycho-Reactive Insomnia where a dreamer’s mind constantly wakes him because of constant worries; Endogenous Insomnia where a person suffers discomfort such as indigestion during sleep; Exogenous Insomnia where outside forces such as noise affects a person’s sleep and Functional Insomnia where irrational fear prevents a person from going to sleep.
Despite the seriousness of this condition, there are no recorded deaths or illnesses caused by lack of sleep. It is because the body and mind instinctively gets the minimum amount of rest.
One of the best ways to deal with this condition is to determine what time in the evening a person is most exhausted. An hour before that target time, a warm bath is recommended to soothe the body. Drinking of warm beverage that doesn’t contain caffeine is also preferred. Relax the mind and forget the stressful situations for a while. Before long, sleep can be achieved with wonderful dreams to boot.

Each one of us experiences dreams during our sleep. It would be unusual if we haven’t encountered such in our lifetime. However, there’s always that constant wonderment as to what these dreams mean and how these affect our daily lives.

Holos University psychologist and professor Marcia Emery explained that dreams most of the time provide insight to things that we go through in our daily lives. In a way, she believes that these messages depicted by the images serve as insights on how we can foretell the future, overcome personal obstacles and even deal with health problems.
Most of the time our dreams come in symbolic forms according to Emery. However, there may be others that can be literal in nature.
She cited one example: falling teeth. She said that this represents a sense of worry about the dream’s personal appearance or how others perceive him or her. Another definition would be for the dreamer’s lack of self-confidence which needs resolving in waking life. Another dream may be of wearing pajamas in public for example at work which means that the dreamer feels exposed or vulnerable in real life.
Several ideas were shared during the recently concluded International Association for the Study of Dreams conference. Emery was one of the participants of the event attended by fellow psychologists and other professionals.
