The details will be vivid and almost lifelike. The only problem is that these dreams are not for interpretation. They are just something to enjoy and to look forward too each night. For those people who want to induce lucid dreaming, here are three things you should take before bed.

DAIRY – Anything with milk in it not only helps you sleep, it also helps you dream better. The amino acids in dairy products are good nutrients for the nervous system. This means that the mind will keep active even when the rest of the body is in a dream state. However, it is not advised that you take sweetened dairy products as you will have to wait for the sugar rush to die down before you can sleep.

ORANGE – Orange juice or any other fresh fruit juice has also been known to induce lucid dreaming. Try drinking a full glass of orange juice – around 250 ml is fine. Juice also improves the chances of you having lucid and memorable dreams. It is also advised that you not overload on the juice because you want to dream more. Just take enough or else you’ll constantly be awakened at night with the urge to pee.

Waking up from a puzzling or curious dream would ultimately drive a person to search its meaning. Many people turn to professional dream interpreters to have their dreams interpreted. But, not everybody has or can afford an interpreter. In fact, a lot of people don’t even know a dream interpreter on a personal basis. So, where do these people turn to? They turn to one of the many dream dictionaries available on the internet or in bookstores. But, are these dream dictionaries valid and how does one use them?

Dream dictionaries are easy to use, although the extent of its contents depends on the publisher or the book version. Free online dream dictionaries usually have general terms and dream interpretations compared to ones that are available for purchase. Printed dream dictionaries are limited too, except those that have been meticulously compiled.

To use a dream dictionary, all a person has to do is to search for the item, person or sign that they dreamt of. In example, a person dreams of a zucchini. Dreaming of zucchinis is quite rare and not every dream dictionary has an interpretation of it. So, in order to get an interpretation of such dream, it is advised that a person look under the heading ‘vegetable’. The dream interpretation of vegetable may also have several subheadings depending on the state and the number of vegetables in the dream.
