Five Types Of Dreams

Author: Willow  //  Category: dreams

There are five types of dreams as stated by various dream analysts. They are the ordinary dreams, lucid dreams, telepathic dreams, premonitory dreams, and nightmares. One can see the combination of one or more dreams of the above.

Ordinary dreams are generally based on the movement of the unconscious as an answer to what we see or experience in our waking state. In the altered state of mind, that is when we dream, every single thought triggers off a dream, or an unconscious yet real experience. There are images, motions, sounds flowing throughout our dream, and we perceive it as reality.

Lucid Dreams are those in which we are aware that we are dreaming, and that’s precisely the reason why it’s in our hands to control them. Here, we an also make a prejudgment of the content that we’re going to dream about.
Telepathic dreams are those in which can have an ethereal experience of communication of two worlds. Death is no barricade in this heavenly sphere of existence. Telepathy is recognized as the language of the angels.
Premonitory dreams are those which strike a similar chord with the telepathic dreams and are special as they disclose the future secrets to the dreamer.
Nightmares are dreams wherein the individual may perceive some stimulus that he ahs a deep fear for, and may scream, or fall out of the bed gasping for air. These are the most unpleasant of all dreams.

Meaning Behind Dreams

Author: Willow  //  Category: Dreams Interpretation

Dreams are a manner or ‘a bridge’ which bonds the subconscious mind to the real life situations. A subconscious mind has freedom of thought and is not bound to rules and limitations. Dreams are the medium for the sub conscious mind to convey thoughts, its self, and its state due to daily situations and your life style. They can be exciting, shocking, astonishing and vivid. Dreams can be full of negative emotions which may turn nightmares when seen on a regular basis. However, dreams do have something to do with real life and the meaning behind dreams can be masked.

It is necessary to interpret dreams as they might prove beneficial in real life. They might have a hidden message in them. A fundamental analysis of dreams can be done with some basic knowledge and carefully memorising them after one wakes up. Recollecting some instances and things happening around you in real life before one had a dream can be beneficial to reach the source from where it originated.  A close investigation of a kind of dream appearing frequently can be done with the help of a professional who is good at interpreting dreams or a person who has sound knowledge of human psychology.

Dream Research

It is actually very interesting yet difficult to do researches on dream symbology or signify the importance of any dream. Dreams arise out of the subconscious, as it is the conscious which we use in our waking state. It is extremely tough to make dreams come true, or to try and influence them in any which way, as here, there is no independent variable to stimulate. There are however, many researches being carried out, and extensive work done on dreams and their significance in human life.

It is rather difficult to do an objective research on dreams, as they cannot be viewed, and neither can the dreamer report precisely, event by event of his dream. Content Analysis is the hot keyword to study dream analysis. Here, we have to classify and categorise people, animals, things, and events from our dreams. We have to have separate categories like social interactions, characters, striving, and emotions.

The research on dreams is a slightly technical area of study. Dreams are nothing less than an ethereal experience, be it a telepathy dream, recurring dream, lucid dream or any other one. To study them objectively takes a great deal of skill, technique and effort.

Dreams have several meaning. It can mean the images that we see during the sub-conscious state while we are sleeping, it can mean fantasy or the wish that we really want. Though they might have different meanings but all off them are related to one thing and that is images. It can be through our mind, eyes or our heart.

When we are awake the conscious mind are often active but when we sleep the sub conscious will take over. Often it is believe that dreams are based on the unconscious activity in response to the experience that we encounter when we are awake. Every single thought can result in a dream. You can’t direct the dream here and it can take you anywhere without you controlling.

Sometimes we dream when we are awake but here we can control our dreams. Often this is called fantasy. Here you dream what you really can’t do in reality. You decide what you want to dream and plan out the whole thing according to your wish.

It also means the wishes that you really want. Often people associate dreams with those wishes. When they say ‘they dream of doing something’, it means they really want to do that thing.
